Have you ever had a desire so strong that it made you question who you were? I have and what I learned was this... that desire is apart of you for a reason. The question is, how much of this desire is who you are and how much of it was forced upon you? Most times when asked " who are you?" People tend to give their title's " I'm a fireman, I'm a nurse, I'm a teacher, etc." But guess what, none of those are who you are. They're what you do for a living. Who you are is so much deeper than that which you get paid to do.
Examine your lifestyle. What is your daily conversation about? Who do you hang out with? What are the things that bring you pleasure and you can't wait to share it with others? These are just a few questions that you dig into to validate who you are. Don't worry, God made sure you had room to grow. Meaning, there is always room for improvement when it comes to perfecting who you really are :-)
Now with who you are not! You are not a loser ( that title was giving to you, you can give it back whenever you're ready). You are not a failure ( things happen. Start over). You are not a fool ( fools NEVER look for ways to improve their lives). You are not a wimp ( with God on your side you have more power & strength than you know). I could go on, but you get my drift. Stop calling yourself someone you're not and stop allowing other people to call you who you are not. It doesn't matter how long it takes for the real world to see who you are, jsut make sure you know who you are and who you are NOT!
